Dr Paul Englert
Chief Executive Officer
PhD | LinkedInPaul is the CEO of Recruit Advantage and as such is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and continual capacity of the company to meet the needs of recruiters both agency and corporate.
Paul has an extensive background in recruitment software having co-founded OPRA Consulting Group in 1997. Paul most recently worked in international business development specialising in tools to enhance recruitment systems working in countries as diverse as New Zealand to Brazil, Indonesia to the United Kingdom. From there Paul went on to work in international business development specialising in tools to enhance recruitment systems working in countries as diverse as New Zealand to Brazil, Indonesia to the United Kingdom. Paul is also a well published academic writer and speaker in his speciality area psychometrics for predicting human performance; Paul has published in areas as diverse as cognitive ability, personality and cultural differences in psychometric tests.
Paul has an Undergraduate Degree in Criminology 1st Class Science Honours Degree, and was then awarded a full Doctoral scholarship before going on to complete his PhD. Paul has also completed a Post-Graduate Degree in Applied Statistics which included evaluation papers from Claremont University in Los Angeles.
Paul’s guiding philosophy is that good applied science that is practical and useable is the key to producing a powerful solution to improve recruitment performance. With an eclectic mix of business experience, academic backing and ‘problem solving out of necessity’ Paul is dedicated to using his expertise to create a recruitment solution and supporting business that continues to meet the evolving need of the recruitment profession.

Her technical expertise and management skills enables the development team to work cohesively in the continuous process of enhancing, building and maintaining Turborecruit as a world leading edge e-Recruitment software service.

James MacDonald
Commercial Manager
BComm UNSW | LinkedInJames has implemented numerous systems in various industries and locations. One of his largest achievement was the successful implementation (on time and budget) of new regulatory reporting system in large Japanese bank operating in the UK in response to tightening European regulations.
James is a well rounded business professional with a number of years experience in business development, account management, project management and business analysis.
He has relevant experience across a number of industries such as information technology, professional services, banking and finance.
In his previous roles James communicated directly with people from all areas of business from C level to junior staff in a consultative manner. His style is one of building longer term relationships and understanding the client’s needs.
Basically James gets things done for clients.
James' strengths include strong verbal and written communication skills and he has the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders.
Previous employers include EDS Australia/Commonwealth Bank, RecruitASP, and KPMG Peat Marwick.
James holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of New South Wales graduating in 1991 and has a genuine interest and experience in the technology space.
