***SPAM EMAIL NOTICE***

It has come to our notice that spam emails advertising bogus jobs are being sent by people purporting that an email address was found in the turborecruit.com.au database. That is not correct and the information in those emails is false. We can provide assurance that our databases are fully protected and there is no evidence of any security breaches. Please note the only personal data in the spam emails is the recipients email address which is freely available.

Nevertheless, we have undertaken a very thorough investigation and audit and verified that there was no security breach from our side. Our security measures were affirmed as being appropriate and correct. We came through with flying colours!

Client confidentiality is extremely important to us and we work very hard to make sure that you, our clients, can faithfully rely on that information being secure.

Sometimes emails are sent by people masquerading as advertisers requesting that you supply personal details. Our extensive client base in Australasia has meant that these emails often fraudulently masquerade as being from Turbo or RecruitAdvantage. This is not the case and under no circumstances do we give access to jobseeker details to any other third party. Our system is secure and we regularly check our database for any unlawful activity.

Our clients and their jobseekers are the basis of our successful business and we value your privacy.

Turborecruit or RecruitAdvantage will never send an email asking you to update your username and password.

Always check the legitimacy of any ad, email or employer that seems suspicious before you respond. These emails often will not include any personal information (e.g. will not be addressed to you personally) and merely request your CV to get you to engage with them for suspicious activity. Large well known companies usually don't include hotmail or other free email addresses in their ads. If you have any concerns, call the company and verify the ad, don't just assume that just because an ad claims to represent a company that it actually does. Do NOT respond to the ad or email that appears suspicious and if you feel you may have been the victim of fraud contact the Australian Federal Police.
